Wonderful Wyoming Boys State is set for the week of June 7 - 13, 2008 at the Fairgrounds in Douglas Wyoming. To be eligible for Boys State you must be in your Junior Year of high school. Applications for Boys State may be obtained from your local American Legion Post, or high school counselor.
Delegates from around Wyoming meet to build city, county, and state government then participate in the Legislative, Court Systems, and experience the election
process. Boys State Staff includes the Governor, U.S. Congressmen, Wyoming Legislators, Judges, Attorneys and Professionals, Law Enforcement Officers, Guardsmen and Legion Volunteers. Delegates also learn the power of teamwork and self-motivation and develop life-long friendships.
The week is topped off with a trip to the State Capitol in Cheyenne, where the Delegates occupy the House and Senate Chambers and the various offices and agencies of Wyoming’s government.
